I decided to write this book one cold, rainy British lockdown day. I found myself grateful of the mental place I was now in and dreaded to think how I would have handled it a few years prior. It led me to thinking, if I could reach people in the comfort of their own home, their own time why shouldn’t I? Why shouldn’t I share the knowledge I have gained and my own journey to stability and contentment when it could help others?  As a qualified Person-centred Psychotherapist practising in the UK people often perceive me as someone who has had it together forever and always. However, this is simply not the case, I have had a long journey to self-discovery and ultimately happiness. My journey was haphazard, and many lessons were learnt along the way. Some lessons were pleasant, and others were long, harmful, and cost a lot both financially and personally. This book has been for me a consolidation of those lessons, without all the unpleasant lesson learning. If I can help just one person brighten their life and mental-wellbeing a little faster than perhaps I brightened my own – then this book will have been successful.
